Zen Solitaire is a classic Klondike-style card game built around sorting a 52-card deck into four foundation piles. The objective is to complete each pile in ascending order, from Ace through King, while working through a layout of seven columns.

At the beginning, each column has one face-up card, with the remaining cards hidden. Use the available face-up cards to make moves, uncover cards beneath them, and create new options across the tableau.

Build the foundations

Foundation piles are organized by suit and must be built in rank order:

• Start each foundation with an Ace.
• Continue upward through the ranks.
• Complete a pile with a King.

Work through the columns

Cards in the columns are arranged differently from the foundations. Move cards in descending order while alternating colors. For example, a red card can be placed on a black card of the next higher rank. Revealing face-down cards is an important part of opening up the layout and finding further moves.
