About the game
Tic Tac Toe Merge
Tic Tac Toe Merge reworks tic-tac-toe around piece levels, scoring, and merging. The aim is to earn victory points before the opposing player by making lines of matching pieces across rows, columns, or diagonals.
Each player begins with three level-1 pieces in hand. Select a piece, then place it on an open cell. A line of three or more pieces at the same level scores points. Point totals vary according to the pieces' level, the size of the matching group, and any combos created.
Build stronger pieces
The merge system lets you improve pieces before placing them. Combine two matching level-1 pieces to make a level-2 piece, then merge two level-2 pieces to create a level-3 piece.
Matching pieces can also trigger merges on the board. When three or more pieces of the same level align, they combine into a stronger piece, creating potential chain reactions. Higher-level pieces can capture weaker opposing pieces, adding another consideration to every placement.
